Hello,
I am trying to dual boot debian6 with slackware. I have hd partitioned
4 times:
-sda1:slackware
-sda2:debian6
-sda3:swap
-sda4:personal
I have no problems with slack, probably because it was the first
installed and had no problems. swap and personal no issues. personal
is mounted to a folder in my home directory to easily use my files
whether I am in debian or slack. here is the problem:
I installed debian6 with the #1 cd iso image and installation went
with no errors. I didnot install grub with debian since lilo is used
on slack and it is functional. I created menu option for lilo in
slack to point to the debian partition to boot. On restart and
selecting debian I get no stalls until it loads the gdm for login and
at that point mouse nor keyboard works, as if locked up. previously
attempted debian5 install the same way a week ago, got same issue,
locked up as soon as gui loaded. thought problem might have been
fixed with debian6, but guess it is something I am not catching. I do
not have my share partition mounted to my home folder. any
suggestions?
