I have to admit, I don't know what any of this means, but I'm sure it helps
you understand my issue. again, I have full sound in everything except
amarok. I didn't actually have pavucontrol installed, but I since have
gotten it from the repository. running shows I'm using Analog Stereo Duplex
internal audio,  sound is turned up at 85%, and plaback is mono at 0%.
