I have a new (to me) Dell Latitude D600 laptop running Ubuntu 11.04. Here is the video controller from lspci:
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Radeon RV250 [Mobility FireGL 9000] (rev 02) I can get compiz to work, but I like being able to have the Desktop Cube and Rotate Cube enabled. The Desktop Cube requires OpenGL and Composite to be enabled. When I go to enable Composite, my xfce window manager crashed to the point where I have no choice but to hard-reboot. Anybody have similar issues to this that could help me get it figured out. Until then, I need to use metacity. Assistance is greatly appreciated.
