I'm not sure exactly what you are trying to do. Are you:
1) Trying to use the linux machine as a client, perhaps using something like Evolution or Thunderbird, in order to read mail from your gmail account, and having trouble sending but not receiving email (a common problem)? 2) Trying to set up full mail service on your local machine and wanting to forward mail to your local domain to your gmail account? 3) Trying to set up full mail service on your local network and are trying to send mail gmail to test it? 4) Something else? billo On Sun, 12 Feb 2012, anuj agarwal wrote:
Hi, I have a home PC which runs ubuntu linux 10.04. I am trying to configure it for sending mail to my gmail Id. I have searched the previous posts on this group and also tried google but none of them work. I have installed sendmail and mailutils packages. When i send the email, the comman run successfully but the mail does not come to my mailbox. Can somebody tell me the steps of how to do it?
