Phil,

Any distro should be able to accomplish what you asking as far as running
Samba and OpenLDAP. Since this is for a production network, I'd suggest a
stable version of Debian variant (maybe even Debian itself!).

As for the specifics of how to accomplish what you are asking, that is
beyond my level of knowledge. Maybe a LUG member can help you out. Either
way, please let the LUG know how you got it working.
