It looks like that patch links them but uses a special wcmTouchDevice instead of wcmDevices. That simplifies some other code in the patch but then has this downside. I may play with linking them the normal way and see how much grief it causes. Isn't their a libudev patch floating around on mailing list to use instead of strcmp()? I'd prefer using that if I'm working on it.
