the cause for the crash is a gnome bug that the libwacom update triggered,
there's a patch waiting for now.

short story: with the 0xfffff stylus, g-s-d and control-center didn't
initiate any styli for erasers but the driver still initialises an eraser X
device. and when that's initialised but with no matching stylus,
g-s-d/g-c-c crash.

with a new patch to 0.5, the default styli are now 0xfffff and 0xffffe, so
unless otherwise specified a device is expected to have the default stylus +
eraser.
for the Bamboo One and Bamboo Pen we'll have to fix the gnome bits first but
meanwhile having an eraser that's not actually there beats crashing :)
