Hi lucky Jason !

a little damaged seleonid brake or greas, which has become hard during that very long time or dust will cause this error...

... only for information

greetings TOM from Bavaria, the center of europe, the marvellous castles of Koenig Ludwig e.g. Neuschwanstein and last but not least the original Oktoberfest !

After the drive spins up, you hear the clack of the brake, and then the head starts seeking around, right? It should be seeking around a lot, not just a blip ever second.

When I got my Lisa, its Widges was non functional. When I powered it up the drive would spin up, but it would just sit there, blipping ever second, presumably looking for track 0. In frustration I grabbed the head motor and twisted it a bunch. Then, low and behold, the drive started working, booted into MacWorks, and showed me all the previous owner's documents :P
