Title: RE: Timeout Error During Verity Collection Run

Try to seperate your collections.

Make a collection of all of /HR
a collection of /IT
a collection of /Accounting
and so on.

Then when doing your search, you can pass a list of collections to search off of.

Subject: Timeout Error During Verity Collection Run

I am trying to Index a Verity Collection for an Intranet site.  The site
contains more than 7,000 pages of htm, cfm, pdf, doc and txt files, all of
which I want to add to the collection.

Because of the page volume of the site, the indexing takes more than 5
minutes.  At exactly 5 minutes into the indexing, I am getting a MS Error
Window stating: "Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet Site
http://127.0.0.1/cfide/administrator/verity/index.cfm?RequestTimeout=300.
The Operation Timed Out."

I am getting this error when I try the index via CF Administrator or
directly from a cfm indexing action page.  I have disabled any timeouts in
CF Administrator.

I have tried restricting the index to only htm and cfm page but that doesn't
seem to help...the error still shows up.

Using NT4.0 SP6,  IIS4.0,  CFServer4.5.1

How can I get around this issue????
