Obviously something is wrong with the browser. At this point, all bets are off - if IE isn't working correctly, there's no guarantee that it will handle JavaScript correctly. If you cannot reproduce your application's errors on a confirmed working IE setup, I wouldn't bang your head into the wall trying to fix an error on a faulty machine.
