There is an open source effort to make accessible a library of API's to work with the AIM protocol.  It is entirely java based so it can easily be used from ColdFusion.  I have not worked with it myself (one of those things I keep meaning to get to) but you can find out more about it at http://jaimbot.sourceforge.net/. 

 

If you do figure it out I wouldn't mind seeing a code sample posted to the list =).

Anyone ever interfaced AOL AIM with CF?  Im trying to write a simple monitoring template that will AIM and email someone based on a DB query.  Anyone done something like this?
