After a lot of experimentation with Captivate and some other stuff, I
finally have the Laszlo and New Atlanta presentations online:

http://65.36.183.143/index.cfm?event=showPresentation&presentation=200412/20041207_new_atlanta.swf

This was clearly a first shot on numerous levels, both with the A/V
stuff as well as Captivate. First, I have to apologize that the New
Atlanta video is apparently lost; my wife used the video camera to
record a band concert the day after our meeting and either the tapes
got confused, or I lost the tape, but there's no audio or video for
this. This is a shame since it was a really great presentation.

The Laszlo presentation gave me more to work with--I combined the
audio from the video with the PowerPoint slides in a Captivate movie,
and you'll see hyperlinks to the stuff they were showing in the
meeting as well as links a few select video clips from the meeting
(done in Flash Video). The angle on the video was pretty bad, so it's
hard to see what's happening on the screen, but I decided to put some
clips in there anyway just to go through the motions. I'll fine tune
the process for future meetings and as always, suggestions (other than
"Make the video look better!" of course ...) are welcome.

This will also give you a bit of a preview of the new web site. Don't
get too excited--there's a lot of work left to be done obviously, and
things will break as I finish it up, but if you have any suggestions
as you poke around please feel free to let me know.

Finally, Happy New Year! Here's to a great 2005 for you and your
families, and for CF and our CFUG as well!
