Ron, I've not received either of the emails. I've got to run now. Sorry
about that, but I'll be here tomorrow if you're still working on it. In
the meantime, can you place a try/catch around the cfmail and see if you
can trap any errors? Do you guys have any Anti-Spam on the mail server
-- GFI or anything like that? I'm with Matt though in thinking it's
likely a problem after the mail gets to the SMTP server. I've never seen
CF be at fault AND it not show up in the logs.

If that's the case and these emails do NOT wind up in your
undeliverable directory then there's definitely something going on
with your SMTP server.  Remember that all CF does is hand messages off
to your SMTP server, so if they're leaving CF successfully, CF did its
job.

I send out HTML emails all the time with full http:// URLs and image
paths in them and they work fine.
