You're inside the network so you are most likely not a good test subject to see if it's working. I still haven't received it as of yet. Check the logs to see if you have anything on the one you sent me.

Unable to relay is def. an error coming from the SMTP server. What is the SMTP server you are using? Is it the IIS Virtual SMTP server or is it Exchange you're connecting to or what? Does it require authentication? Is the mail server set to allow your web server to relay? Try using the connection information in the tag to override that in the cfadmin and do this: <cfmail to="[EMAIL PROTECTED]" from="[EMAIL PROTECTED]" server="your.mailserver.com" username="anAuthUser" password="thatUsersPassWord"> <a href="http://www.yahoo.com">Click me</a> </cfmail> Use your own user name and pw, just so we know for sure that it's not failing to login. Let's see how that goes. --Ferg -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Ron Mast Sent: Tuesday, April 19, 2005 8:37 AM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: cfmail issue Note: I do have Norton installed on the server, I unchecked Enable Internet E-mail Auto-Protect and have disabled Norton itself. After I did that I fired off this code: <cfmail to="[EMAIL PROTECTED]" from="[EMAIL PROTECTED]" subject="Employee Recognition Certification Information" type="HTML"> <a href="www.truth.com">Click Here</a> </cfmail> and a .cfmail file went into C:\CFusionMX\Mail\Undelivr and in the CF admin page the Log Viewer said: Invalid Addresses; nested exception is: javax.mail.SendFailedException: 550 5.7.1 Unable to relay for [EMAIL PROTECTED] I fired off the same code and changed the email address to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and I received the email np. I then fired off the same code to [EMAIL PROTECTED] adding http:// and nothing went into C:\CFusionMX\Mail\Undelivr and nothing in the CF admin log viewer. There you have it, I think that's the scenario.
