Howdy Ray,

Taking the few moments to google "Microsoft Access
Limitations" reveals a slew of links on the subject
(which I've had to do before to justify using db's
other than Access):

first link is from 2002: (explaining the idea that
Access is NOT the best RDBMS for multi-user
environments such as the one that you have):
http://www.teamits.com/internet/support/index.php?/internet/support/nt/msaccess_limitations.html

the second link has links itself:
http://www.aspfaq.com/show.asp?id=2195

a very informative article in and of itself, it leads
you to:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/154869
(ah, right from the belly of the beast!)

and so on and so forth.

if you want someone to give you a guarantee that your
application won't crash, or some "definable line"
where what you have is "guaranteed" to become
unstable, you probably won't get it. however, if you
read the articles and what everyone says about using
MS-Access as *any* kind of multi-user db, then you'll
probably come to the same conclusion as the rest of
us: "why risk the data? do it right from the get-go
and use the appropriate tools for the job."

HTH.

Best regards,
Andrew Matthews
