File uploads

Good morning all,   For a new internal project we need to look at allowing internal users to upload files - could be more than 1GB a year.  These files need to be tied to a description that users fill out and be made available to other users of the application.  We have used cffile and it works ok but am curious is anyone recommends other file upload tools/methods?   Thanks in advance, Tom Woestman
