right, I can get that far - I can view files. But is it an actual FTP
app where I can upload/download files to/from the server inside CFE? Or
is it just a file viewer?
If so, how do I do it? I've tried dragging and dropping from the local
project file view without luck.

Jake, make sure that you have enabled the File Explorer view. Once
you have done this, you will see a little right-arrow to the right of
the dropdown that says "Local Filesystem". When you click on it, you
will see an option that says "Manage FTP Connections". The path is
obvious from that point.
