We have an opening for a Software Support Specialist ...  A background in ColdFusion and Sql Server would be helpful, but the primary function is going to be to provide customer support, training, and become a subject matter expert on our software. POSITION:
Software Support Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY:
Surgisoft is looking for an energetic, friendly, and highly capable software support professional to serve as the company’s first line of support for our hosted software application. Primary responsibilities include: answering customer support calls, escalating support and assigning responsibility to advanced resources where necessary, hosting phone and web-based training sessions, writing knowledgebase articles and updating support documentation, following up with clients and internal staff on satisfactory completion of escalated issues. Candidates *MUST* have excellent written and verbal communication skills, a vibrant and friendly presence with customers, and great troubleshooting skills. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with occasional travel to large customer sites, but not more than 3-4 days per month on average.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·  Answer incoming customer support requests and resolve customer issues via phone and internet

·  Host phone and web-based training sessions for customers

·  Documenting customer support issues and resolutions in knowledgebase articles

·  Create and maintain customer support content such as Help Doc authoring

·  Interface with development team to resolve customer issues through new development or customizations

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

·  2+ years computer troubleshooting or helpdesk support experience

·  2+ years customer support experience at a software company

·  Excellent written and verbal communications skills

·  A strong desire to work in a team environment

·  Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server required

·  Familiarity with CFML a plus
