Trying to avoid spoilers...

Just wondering...  did the previous Gundam to have that "feature" in animation keep it in an HG version?  Or was there even an HG version released?  The reason I ask is that it wouldn't seem like that feature would be something that was easy to include parts for on a constructed plastic model.  The parts would probably need to be made out of an entirely different plastic.  Smaller scale stuff could presumeably get away with it because no one expects the plastic to be flexible (or at least, not flexible in a good way...) once you get that small (and quit working with the model kits).

Or the proper question might be, did the previous Gundam with that feature have a release at a scale larger than MSiA?

Spoiler removed, but it's going to be hard to avoid spoiling that part
of the story for long...

Anyway, I'm pretty disappointed that 1/144 HG model will not recreate
the feature exposed in ep. 10 while the corresponding the HCMP will,
at a significantly smaller scale (1/200?). It is doing nothing to
alleviate the fear the hobby is on inching to the point of no return.

(yes, yes insert standard speculation on MG here)
