Ellen,
Thanks for your response. Although we certainly will have some basic
criteria for "association" with the TLDA, we are trying to avoid too
structured an approach to participation. The first priority is to get
the individuals and organizations who have a stake or interest in new
TLD structures, management and coordination to gather and exchange
ideas. Some additional structure will come along shortly.

Thanks for the correction and the invitation to join the TLDA effort.
As to joining a constituency, how does one choose? I:
- - maintain a commercial and informational website
- - am developing a personal (family) website
- - designed and maintain websites for several local non-profits;
- - am a member of a domain name non-profit association
- - own stock in companies that provide Internet infrastructure
- - give local presentations through both the county Chamber of
Commerce and
a significant non-profit foundation about Internet infrastructure, how
to
get connected and how to establish an Internet presence.
- - monitor and post news of domain name/trademark disputes;
participated in
two WIPO consultations
- - am titular holder of a top level domain, .SHEESH, which was given
to me
about 16 months ago.
I am on six lists discussing variations of the same themes with
variations
of the same people. I cannot see the wisdom in participating in a
handfull
of constituecies, discussing variations of themes with variations of
the
same people. However, I will continue to monitor their formation.
