With the current situation of the current NON-ELECTED ICANN
(Initial?) Interim Board and a DNSO NC/PNC (Legitimate?) in place
without anyone voting for them to be in place, it is likely as we have
already seen with the WIPO "Final Report" that any positions
that
the DNSO takes, will be rubber stamped APPROVED
by the ICANN
(Initial?) Interim Board. I hardly find this sort of situation
in keeping
with the requirements of the White Paper, and equal stakeholder driven
representation of the ICANN in general. As such without the At-Large
membership having a vote on such broad reaching proposals, there is
basically no adherence with he Bottom-up, stakeholder driven
process and organization that is required in the White Paper.

>While I recognize that there are certain important issues that will
be dealt with in the DNSO, what if there were other identifiable
issues which were appropriately (according to the Bylaws) initiated
by the AL membership? (I keep wanting to call it a supporting
organization, but that leads to the unfortunate acronym ALSO...) If
it happened that those issues got themselves focussed on (not, of
course, _organized around) before too much more water flows over
the commercial/ non-commercial dam, is it so inconceivable that
the workings of the Elected Board could be substantially influenced
as it comes to consider various SO proposals?kerry
