While the long and growing witness list for the House Commerce
Committee, Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigation's July 22
hearing on the scope and power of ICANN will not be made public
until later today, witnesses will include: Network Solutions Inc.
[NASDAQ: NSOL] President Jim Rutt; ICANN Interim President and CEO
Mike Roberts; ICANN Interim Chair Esther Dyson; Grover Norquist of
Americans for Tax Reform; Becky Burr of the Commerce Department's
National Telecommunications and Information Administration; and
Information Technology Association of America President Harris
Miller, a congressional source said.
Other witnesses will include representatives from: The Domain Name
Rights Coalition; Consumer Project on Technology; Register.com;
America Online; and CORE (Internet Council of Registrars).
