Ellen and all,

I agree that the article that Ellen is pointing out is indeed "unbiased and intelligent summary", as far as it goes.  However I believe that Jays point is that
sense this article or the Congressional hearings "ICANN out of control"
the media has been conspicuously quiet.

One of the more interesting quotes from this article I thought was just
simply astounding, from "Part 3, ICANN can't collect", at
http://www.zdnet.com/zdnn/stories/news/0,4586,2294893-3,00.html
from Joe Sims, "If you're going to develop consensus, you're
going to have a lot of disagreement," said ICANN lawyer Joe Sims."

This is simply one of the most "Incredible" Statements I believe
that I have ever seen in this process coming from an ICANN
(Initial?) Interim board member I have read to date.  I plainly
illustrates how far disconnected the ICANN (Initial?) Interim board
is from the stakeholder community and reality of what "Consensus"
means...

Please forgive me if you have already posted and/or read this article, but
I think it presents an unbiased and intelligent summary of ICANN's current
state of affairs
