Still working on my Gentoo build, and ran across this article to improve the look and feel of the fonts. I've been using a Mac since last June, which has made me very sensitive to the appearance and looks of the desktop, especially the fonts. This guide has gotten the best looking fonts I've seen on a Linux system. Some is only applicable to Gentoo, some is useful for other distros.
