Well more the init script, but also the command itself, arguments, etc.

Not holding that against you, but not like I just suggested the command,
and said go read the man page to figure out usage. I did pretty much
provide the exact command, copy, paste and run. Not to mention an
initial init script :)

Yes its one of those very useful and powerful apps, thats in wide use,
popular amongst some circles/groups. But completely unknown to others. I
think I have been using screen for 2-3 years now. I came across it
during my Gentoo Developer years. Long after I had been using Linux.
Though screen has been around for a very long time!

Most common for Gentoo or other devs who are frequently on IRC to run a
IRC chat client in a screen session on a server. That way no matter what
machine they are on, etc, always have access. Also provides for
ridiculous log in times ;)
