U-Verse will only be available once a node has been put into your area.
Connected to the CO by fiber. If you see At&t trucks running cable in
the ground, they are likely putting in a node. If not, likely will be
some time before it will be available in those areas.

Comcast is great when it works, but when it does not. Comcast is
probably the absolute worse company when it comes to providing
information on any outages or problems. They will barely notify you
if/when the problem is resolved.

Back in 09, after many years of perfect service. I had a nasty issue of
between 20-50% packet loss. That lasted over a month. I had many calls
into Comcast. They had techs out all over. The signal at my location was
much stronger than it should be. It was nothing related to my location,
or anything. Something either in the node/hub I was connecting to, or a
routing or other issue further down the chain. I have no idea. I did get
notices on my door saying they found and fixed a problem. But it
persisted beyond that. Almost upgraded to a business Comcast account at
that time, but they could not guarantee resolution of the problem even
as a business customer. Thus I remained residential.

Its come back a few times, and thankfully not lasted much more than a
day. But even when it came to like zapping my set top box for my TV.
Comcast customer service always said they were not doing it, when they
were. At one point a customer service technician argued with me over my
HD service saying my HD DVR did not have HD capabilities. They sent out
a tech with a new box, who did not replace my box because I had what I
was supposed to. I discussed the zapping issue at that time as well. The
tech informed me that even they don't know what network operations is
doing at times they zap or update software in the set top boxes.

If I had a choice I would not use any Comcast service. But unfortunately
I need the speeds I get from them, and can't get anything close anywhere
else. I am trying to see if I can live with the slower speeds on
U-Verse. In the past I did get much more information from At&t relating
to any network issue. Even when I was with another, like
FDN/Nuvox/Windstream.
