You have two major dashboarding solutions now: https://www.savision.com/ http://squaredup.com/
Unfortunately, today SCOM lacks many features that are readily available in other monitoring tools. While it is still a great product and integrates well with other MS solutions, what I see lacking today is: - Good out-of-the-box dashboards that are accessible via web using whathever device you have in your hand (ipad/smartphone/...) - Auditing of SCOM configuration without needing administrator access - Auditing of SCOM changes, including who has changed what configuration when - out-of-the box trending on datawarehouse data - Better auto-tuning thresholds - Better network monitoring - Easy to use authoring of custom rules/monitors - Practical debugging of custom rules/monitors - Correlation of events! This needs to come if we want to give SCOM a real chance of becoming a MoM (Manager of Managers). - FIX THE FOCUS BUG of the SCOM console - etc...
