One of the 2014 Ignite sessions (I watched the video, but can't find it
right now) goes into quite a bit of depth regarding troubleshooting slow
logon processing due to GPOs, using the Windows Performance Toolkit.

Definitely take some time to search for it, as well as some of the other
videos.
