I did not see in that list KB3055014, was that on the system as well?

We found that we had not been deploying the enhancement/stability updates for 
Office that are actually the pre-requisite for Skype for Business.

When we deployed KB3055014 the systems would not start Lync/Skype, instead 
would display a message saying that KB2889853 was required to run that 
application.  KB2889853 of course is not in the catalog, because it's a 
cumulative update and has been replaced 5 times.  If you follow the 
superseedance chain, the current cumulative update is KB3055001, which should 
be in the catalog.

Has anyone else had a problem with new installs of Lync 2013 failing to launch? 
I think the issue is related to the fact that these skype updates are installed 
BEFORE Lync 2013. I've tried removing them and reinstalling Lync but that does 
not help.
