Are those the prereqs or the updates that turn Lunc in to Skype? Typos courtesy of Apple. Sent from my iOS device. We found that we had not been deploying the enhancement/stability updates for Office that are actually the pre-requisite for Skype for Business. When we deployed KB3055014 the systems would not start Lync/Skype, instead would display a message saying that KB2889853 was required to run that application. KB2889853 of course is not in the catalog, because it's a cumulative update and has been replaced 5 times. If you follow the superseedance chain, the current cumulative update is KB3055001, which should be in the catalog. Rick J. I think the issue is related to the fact that these skype updates are installed BEFORE Lync 2013. I've tried removing them and reinstalling Lync but that does not help. <image001.png> Here's the details from the event viewer: Faulting application name: lync.exe, version: 15.0.4420.1017, time stamp: 0x5067326f Faulting module name: unknown, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x00000000 Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x09faa188 Faulting process id: 0x788 Faulting application start time: 0x01d0d9b9e353407f Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office15\lync.exe Faulting module path: unknown Report Id: 215269fc-45ad-11e5-b50a-90b11c91c015 ________________________________ Confidentiality Notice: This e-mail is from a law firm and may be protected by the attorney-client or work product privileges.
