I actually used Johan's article to create the unattend.xml. . .WinPE still doesn't pick it up when using a boot image provided via the network. I can use USB boot media and get video. Then I pick the TS, it downloads the boot image associated with the TS. After staging PE, it reboots and then there is no video. The monitor complains about an unsupported configuration.
So, the trick is figuring out if there is a way to set the resolution and frequency in the boot image provided by ConfigMgr. I tried creating a generic WinPE WIM with the unattend and importing it to ConfigMgr, but I got the same result. I also injected the video driver for the graphics card into the WIM. . . Maybe try lower settings. http://deploymentresearch.com/Research/Post/256/Setting-screen-resolution-in-WinPE-4-0 Daniel Ratliff From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Jeff Poling Sent: Thursday, April 07, 2016 4:04 PM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: [mssms] WinPE unattend.xml Thanks, Daniel. I did that but didn't get the hoped for result....the video doesn't display and the monitor complains about an unsupported input configuration. How do I include an unattend.xml? It's straightforward for USB media but not PXE....
