I am wondering if anyone else has encountered problems when sending shared email attachments to sites. My client is using WSS3.0 and Microsoft Office 2003 SP2. What should happen normally is that a new document work space is created with the email attachment saved as a Shared Document in the workspace. This is not working for me.
The scenario is: 1. create a new email with an attachment. 2. In Outlook set the Attachment Options to Shared attachments. 3. Send the email to myself 4. I then get an email with the following text: Problems occurred while trying to create workspace NewWorkspace at <url goes here>. Description of problem(s): The Document Workspace could not be created. The server you specified was not available. Verify the server location and try again later. 5. The workspace has actually been created but the email attachment has not been added as a Shared Document, and I have not been added as a member to this workspace. I googled the problem and found there is a hotfix for Outlook 2003 SP2 to address this issue: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/913323. I applied this hotfix and it still didn't work. I then applied SP3 and every other recommended update to Office. Still no luck. I am wondering if maybe there is some other potential issue that is stopping this from working?
