Hi!

Via Twitter feeds, I learned about the LEARN act involving literacy
education.

NCTE and NMSA are among the organizations involved in writing the bill,
and NCTE is asking members to contact Senators in support of them.

Stephen Krashen has blogged an alternative point of view on the English
Companion ning:

I have high respect for NCTE and NMSA, and I have high respect for Stephen
Krashen. It's a little like being a child again and watching my parents
fight. Anyway, I thought I'd put these ideas out there, either purely for
your own information, or to be discussed here, whatever works for people.

Take care,
