GDAL is one of the core OSGeo applications, and as yet is one of the few
applications on OSGeo-Live which doesn't have someone writing a
Quickstart for it.
Is anyone able to pull one together?
There is a very good basis for a Quickstart here:

It just needs to be converted to the OSGeo format, and to have it use a
dataset already installed on OSGeo-Live.
