Months before Anna Nicole Smith died of a drug overdose in a Florida hotel room, a psychiatrist requested a large variety of drugs for Smith that a pharmacist refused to fill, fearing that the prescriptions could kill her, according to recently unsealed affidavits. The request for 300 tablets of methadone, a muscle relaxer, sedatives and four bottles of a painkiller nicknamed "hospital heroin" amounted to "pharmaceutical suicide," the affidavits say.
