I installed the PYI coupling on my boat in Spring 2001, so far no problems to report. I feel it contributed to a reduction in engine vibration and noise in the cockpit. Installation was pretty simple. With my boat's keel configuration there was plenty of room between the prop and the leading edge of the rudder, so I was able to simply separate the shaft coupler and install the flexible coupler inline without having to shorten the prop shaft.
