Precisely. I have belonged to the Power Squadrons since 1970. Not only
have the average size of member's boats decreased markedly in recent
years but the number of established members who no longer own a boat
because of the expense has increased. They are still interested and
stll volunteer their time but they can no longer afford to come out and
play. They are lucky if they can wrangle an invite for a day trip
with friends.
