I'm using a Pinacle on my Toshiba with XP pro and when there is reception in
the area it is great especially the digital stations. My antenna consists of
the antenna that comes with it hoisted to the top of the mast. Kinda funky
but I did not want to go to the expense of taking the mast down until I knew
it would work.

The pinacle product would not work with XP..it is designed to work with
Vista.
It is a good product however..

The Hauppage product worked well with my X:P and hates vista.. although I
have such a crappy place for reception
its lousy... It worked great though when I was in annapolis and with xp..

the $99.99 pinnacle is the one I Had.. that works well with xp.. you have to
be able to get reception.
I think both are HD as well..

I am considering the purchase of a new laptop. Dell Latitude 17 is my
preference so far. Their 17" LED back lit screen seems to draw considerably
less power than the usual. Any one using their laptop for TV reception?
Recommendations on hardware/software or product to avoid would be
appreciated. Units that can receive NTC/PAL digital and analog?
Thanks,
Philip
