Norm: Both the old (brand forgotten, but later absorbed by Xantrex) and
newer Xantrex XBM monitors had a manual, user adjustable setting for Charge
Efficiency. The original had no automatic function for this, Link 10,20 &
XBM have an auto efficiency setting as default, with manual setting
available. Also make sure nothing goes to the battery ground terminal,
(except the shunt), that every last negative wire goes to the house side of
the shunt. Anything that bypasses the shunt will not read on the monitor
and cause a cumulative error.
If the monitor is on "Auto Eff", you can read what it has calculated. If
it is 100%, there is likely a wiring error.
