Just met a man at Honeymoon Bay anchorage (USVI), his 3/4" 3 strand nylon
anchor snubber broke. I pulled a thread from it and it broke easily in my
hand, he has 300' of this line. He says he bought it 8 years ago and stored it
in his FL attic, so it has had heat, but no sun. Does heat age nylon or does
it just age from time, or was it bad rope? I have a piece on the end of my
anchor chain that may be 9 years old!
