Since last posting to this list a few thing have changed. We are still leaving Florida for California in mid-January, but instead of going to SoCal, We are headed to San Francisco instead. This is actually home for us. . .YAY! A place where liveaboard slips are REALLY hard to find! No Yay!
However, my question is this. I need to make an exact duplicate of my nav computer before we head off. I have a pair of *identical* Thinkpads. One has been used as the ships primary computer and has all my software, routes, and devices installed. the other is basically unused. I'd like to duplicate the first onto the second. I used to use Norton Ghost to clone computers but have been told it is no longer the best solution for this problem, or even a solution at all. I know there are a few sea-geeks here who might have a suggestion to offer. I'm looking for an easy solution since things that are difficult to do, don't get done and everyone know how depressing the undone backup is!
