I had a problem using outlook express leaving orphaned messages on my
server.
So I wrote a little Windows application that allows me to log in on my
server
and delete messages that were spam (It shows sender and subject line).
If you are interested you can download it from my site:
www.knopfconsulting.com under 'Personal' - Pop3test.zip, just use the exe
file.
