Depending on the size of your current tank, a little bit of time with the
grinder should be all you need.  Plus you may have easier access once you
decide you're replacing the tankspace with a bladder.  There's always the
additional option of adding a vinyl/poly liner if you feel the need.  Check
with the manufacturer.  Good link below.

HOw puncture proof are they... the interior is seriously rough.. if I am

add another hundred or so for do it yourself cleaning stuff... of course
there is the 
disposal of the cleaning stuff that sorta kinda worries me..
