Race Cars - even though you see all the Sunoco signs around the tracks and
so forth, I know the CART cars (and the IRL cars) all use straight Ethanol -
NASCAR I'm not sure about but I'm pretty sure it's not straight "normal"
gasoline - don't forget, those Ford, Chevy, Toyota, etc, engines they use
are all custom built, having very little in common with what you've got
under the hood of your car - not to mention the fact that they're in the
800+ HP range.
