In the FWIW category, I lived for about a decade in Puerto Rico about
half of it within a mile of the eastern edge of the Mona Passage. I
can attest that PR, in general, is in a fairly active earthquake
zone. Fortunately for me most of the one's I experienced were very
small, as was the one 'bella noted. In most cases you really had to
be paying attention to notice anything. Which is not to say that

the Mona Passage is sailing daily by cruisers... just more proof
that there are still things out there
that make ya go hmmmmmmmm... I clearly remember the stories written about
being at Phuket during that huge tidal wave a few yrs ago.. those
who made it out to
sea .. well they stil have thier boats... others.....
and the url below... well it shows the fault line that many forget
or never knew that lives
in the carribean..
