Call to Action - This is THE Time For the Cruising Community to Influence Statewide Florida Anchoring Regulations Hello Fellow Cruisers: Several weeks ago, when I posted an analysis of the Florida Anchoring Rights/Regulations issue, I said that we were monitoring this situation closely, and when the time came, we would let you know whom you should contact. Well, that time is NOW!!!! The final version of the FWC draft language for Florida statewide anchorage regulations, has now been translated into House Bill HR 1423. The cruising community must MAKE SURE its voice is heard, and heard loudly, as the final formulation of this bill takes place, before it actually becomes law! To help in this effort, the Salty Southeast Cruisers' Net has joined forces with the Florida Open Water Society to get the word out, both about the problems with HR 1423, and who needs to be contacted to rectify these difficulties.
