I think the PDQ 36's were designed just for the Honda 2000. The Honda just
barely fits into either of the aft cockpit lockers, but I'm too lazy to keep
it there. Ours sits (with its official "Honda" blue cover) at the top of
the starboard transom. So far, after two years, it hasn't shown any bad
effects from the weather or salt. It doesn't get much use here in the sunny
(solar panels) and windy (KISS windgen) Bahamas but, when we need it, it
really does the job in a hurry and we've never had a noise complaint. When
a Honda is running more than 100' from our boat, I hardly hear them at all.
We are also lucky to have 100 amp Balmars on both diesels, so we're in
pretty good shape so far as amps are concerned. I don't like having
gasoline on board, but we need it for the dink engine anyhow -- not to
mention the propane for the stove. (Nothing will turn you into a people
burger quite like a propane explosion.)

That should be a winner. Keep us posted on your progress.
