While we're discussing power systems... and maybe I missed an answer to this Q as I have been somewhat preoccupied with other refit issues lately and not reading as carefully as I might...
I have a genuine Stupid Question. Suppose I have one of those dual-battery charge controllers like the SunSaver Duo. It has separate connections for each battery so that charge can be diverted to the less crucial battery after the primary has been fully charged, right? But I have an A/B/Both switch which can gang those batteries together. Is there any ill effect on the SunSaver or similar unit when the battery switch is set to Both and the battery pos terminals are shorted together? My guess is "not" because people do use the Duo for marine applications and most boats have the A/B/Both switch. But I'd like to be sure before investing in one. The answer must be very obvious as I haven't found it mentioned anywhere online yet :-) _______________________________________________ Liveaboard mailing list [email protected] To adjust your membership settings over the web http://www.liveaboardnow.org/mailman/listinfo/liveaboard To subscribe send an email to [email protected] To unsubscribe send an email to [email protected] The archives are at http://www.liveaboardnow.org/pipermail/liveaboard/ To search the archives http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] The Mailman Users Guide can be found here http://www.gnu.org/software/mailman/mailman-member/index.html
