I am very partial to Andrew's Heliax. I noticed a big difference when changed my repeater over from LMR 400 to 1/2" heliax. This is actually what I have on my repeater to duplexer connections then the 1/2" going to the antenna from the duplexer. You can get the fire retardant stuff if you think your mast might catch on fire.
