Thank you Bella, Thank you Katherine and Thank you Phillip, Yeah, nowadays I mostly enjoy reading the excellent practical knowledge offered on the list and write once in a while. Gone are the days where I engaged in fiery arguments defending even the most insignificant opinions. Life is much more enjoyable now :-) We are not going to make the New Years in Oriental after all. Our cat sitter is not available so we will drive down first week of 2010. We have four furbags and one of them is a diabetic so we need a cat-sitter who can do insulin shots. Talk about cats, "English Bob" (our British short hair 18 pounder) just came by and attacked me with chemical weapons (tuna flavored mustard gas) I must hit the send button now and get away from him. Thanks again, and Happy New year. Ahmet .....Gasp....English Bob you are awful dude.

Just a small word about eastern NC...NO cell phone coverage to speak up except around the towns..its realy wierd. If you and a lovely drive.. take 301south from DC...its really pretty esp the Virginia part..then take US 17 south...it parallels the Great Dismal Swamp canal above Elizabeth City. You can go on www.realtor.com and start checking out stuff now.. Foreclosure houses seem to be a great deal right now. The plan is to purchase a small retirement home. We figure the place could serve as a winter home for now and if our cruising lifestyle planned for retirement does not work out, it could serve as a temporary home while we go back to the drawing board. Prior to heading North, we would like to visit Oriental for a few days and would appreciate any information about what the boating community does to bring in the new year. Thanks and happy holidays to all, Ahmet and Winsome Massachusetts Your E-mail and More On-the-Go. Get Windows Live Hotmail Free.
